What do I do when I feel like I'm in labor?
Yay! You’re closer than ever to meeting your little bee. Our doula team goes on call for labor support at 37 weeks. Your doula should have already given you information to call them at when your contractions are 15 minutes apart, last for at least 1 minute, and this has been happening for an hour. You are also able to call them 24/7 day or night with questions once you go on call.
If you do not hear from your doula within 20 minutes of calling and/or texting them, call us at (410) 929-0411 to connect you directly. Click the button below to call our office’s on-call hotline.

I'm getting my placenta encapsulated. What do I do when I'm in labor?
When you are in active labor, be sure to have a cooler that either travels with you to the hospital or that your midwifery team can use after a homebirth.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SWEET BEE DOULA: Call our team encapsulator right after calling your healthcare provider. This allows our team ample time to prepare to meet you once baby has arrived.
IF WE ARE YOUR DOULA TEAM: Call your doula and let them know you are in labor. They will handle the rest of the communication with our team encapsulator.
