Birth & Labor Packages

  • Looking for our simplest birth and labor package? Look no further!! This package includes 2 doulas plus “Push Prep” a comprehensive session with our in-house pelvic floor physical therapist designed to shorten your labor and prevent tearing. You’ll also be enrolled in our Evidence Based Birth class taught live PLUS 3 months of access to online course materials.

  • This package is for folks who want to be prepared for their birth experience from the inside out! We recommend this package for parents worried about and/or who have a history of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, PCOS, endometriosis, and any other pre-existing health concern. Offer includes 2 doulas, Push Prep, a Nutrition Strategy Session with our in-house dietitian, AND you’ll be enrolled in our Evidence Based Birth class taught live PLUS 6 months of access to online course materials.

Postpartum Packages

  • Need a postpartum doula for 2 weeks or less? This is your solution for extra hands, eyes, and ears as you navigate the first few days of having your little bee home.

    Packages can be combined for daytime and nighttime support as needed.

  • Need a postpartum doula for 3 weeks or more? This is your solution for extra hands, eyes, and ears as you navigate the first few days of having your little bee home. We especially recommend this option for folks concerned about PMADS, with a history of anxiety, depression, etc, and/or who could really use the extra help of a doula dedicated to the new mom and little bee. 

    This package also includes a 60-minute postpartum massage, postpartum pelvic floor support, and a postpartum stretch session to ease your body and mind.

    Packages can be combined for daytime and nighttime support as needed. We offer this package up to 6 weeks at a time.

When you welcome a little bee into your family, you deserve someone who specifically ensures you are rested and ready to navigate this new phase of your journey. Postpartum doulas “mother the mother”, providing the emotional and physical support necessary for an empowered start to parenting. Daytime and overnight options are available.

  • Get prepared for your birth experience by attending our Evidence Based Birth childbirth prep class. Taught by Doula Leah, with over 7 years of experience, this class is perfect for new parents and not-so-new parents. Learn the essentials you need for your birth plan, how to advocate within your birthing space, how to equip yourself for postpartum, and more! We also cover breastfeeding essentials and what to do in case of emergency situations like a c-section or the NICU.

  • Once you're cleared by your healthcare provider, enjoy a 60-minute massage from our in-house massage therapist. Her healing hands are sure to melt any tension in your body and help you ease into the labor experience.

  • Enjoy a refreshing 60-minute stretch session with our in-house yogi and stretch therapist. These are designed to either help you prepare for the labor experience by creating space in the body for a smooth, short labor OR to help you ease back into moving your body post-birth by relieving tension in commonly held areas like the shoulders and back. You choose if this is best before or after your baby arrives.

  • One preparatory PFPT appointment to support a short labor and efficient pushing experience and encourage complication-free healing in postpartum.

  • This can be 3 days and 1 night or 2 days and 2 nights for a total of 32 hours.

  • One in-depth session with our team registered dietician to ensure your body is prepared to handle pregnancy, labor, and postpartum! Take the hassle out of figuring out what to eat and get a plan that fits your specific needs.

 FAQs

  • “Doula” comes from the Greek-word for female servant. Today, doulas are trained healthcare professionals who support individuals and families in various situations. At Sweet Bee Services, we are a team of birth and postpartum doulas, many of whom have additional specialty areas.

  • OB/GYNs are medical physicians who support people with a uterus. Midwives are nurses who provide healthcare to people with a uterus. Doulas are trained healthcare professionals who support individuals and families as they navigate decisions around having babies & preparing to parent those babies. We offer emotional, informational, and non-medical physical support.

  • We offer support from pre-conception through postpartum. Due to the demand for our services, we recommend you book your birth doula by no later than 20 weeks. For postpartum support, we suggest booking your doula by no later than 30 weeks. Preconception support can be booked as soon as you are ready for someone to go on the journey with you.

  • That’s wonderful! We do not bill insurance directly. However, we work with a third party called SuperBill to help clients receive as much of their insurance reimbursement as possible.

  • Birth doulas support pregnant people and their families as they prepare for birth and then during the labor experience. Postpartum doulas provide support once baby has arrived and the family is home. At Sweet Bee Services, several of our team members are full-spectrum, meaning they can provide support at either time.

  • Postpartum doulas support the birthing person and/or new parent(s) as they navigate life with a newborn. Our team is prepared to ease your stressors by handling the little things like washing dishes or organizing baby items, to the big things like providing overnight infant care and proactively intervening at the first signs of postpartum depression or anxiety.

  • We offer monthly and bi-monthly payment plans. We also often partner with grant-awarding organizations like The Black Doula Project.
